Distinguished guests in attendance included: Academician Benoît Dubuis, President of the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences and Director of the Sino-Swiss Advanced Technology Research Institute at Shanghai University; Tan Puzhen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee Organization Department and Deputy Director of the Municipal Talent Work Bureau; Guo Chunsheng, Party Secretary of the School of Microelectronics at Shanghai University; Yu Lina, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Microelectronics at Shanghai University; Han Guobao, Deputy Party Secretary and Deputy General Manager of Zhangjiang Group; Li Kai, Deputy Director of the Planning and Research Division of the Shanghai Municipal Talent Work Bureau; Ji Shengnan, Director of Division I of the Talent Work Bureau of Pudong New Area, Shanghai; and Wang Jing, General Manager of Shanghai Pudong Talent Development Co., Ltd. The ceremony was presided over by Professor Zhang Lei, Executive Dean of the Sino-Swiss Advanced Technology Research Institute at Shanghai University and Head of the Sino-Swiss International Proof-of-Concept Center.

Academician Du Bi first elaborated on the core philosophy and objectives of the GateChallenge Innovation Camp, reviewing participants' practical journey and key achievements in Shanghai via video. He then highlighted the innovation ecosystem and resource landscape of Health Valley Switzerland, offering a cross-regional strategic perspective and reference for deepening future Sino-Swiss collaboration.

Tan Puzhen, representing the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee Organization Department and the Municipal Talent Work Bureau, delivered a speech expressing gratitude and congratulations to all participants. He specifically noted that Academician Dubey had introduced Switzerland's leading innovation concepts and experience to Shanghai, building a crucial bridge for cross-border and cross-disciplinary exchange. He emphasized that Shanghai consistently prioritizes “talent” as the city's primary resource for development and ‘innovation’ as the primary driving force for progress. In recent years, the city has implemented numerous practical measures centered on “building an international talent hub and fostering an open innovation ecosystem.” The GateChallenge Innovation Camp serves as a vital complement to Shanghai's “Talent + Innovation” strategy, further enriching the city's innovation ecosystem.

Academician Ian Robert, Chief Technology Officer of Bühler Group and Chairman of MassChallenge Switzerland, delivered a video address. He highlighted the development potential and unique advantages of the Chinese market, encouraging participants to actively engage in China's growth.

The core segment of the closing ceremony—the China-Switzerland Project Roadshow—attracted 20 collaborative projects. Employing an alternating format of “on-site presentations + live streaming,” it spanned multiple fields including innovative technologies, healthcare, and smart services, drawing significant attention from both online and offline audiences. Following rigorous evaluation by the guest judging panel, three outstanding projects were selected: BRAIN PULSE Holding SA, BetterBuddy, and Echo Storm. The winning projects will receive one year of dedicated mentorship and strategic support from the Inartis Foundation, along with office space at Switzerland's MassChallenge and the Shanghai Sino-Swiss International Proof-of-Concept Center, providing robust support for their subsequent implementation and international expansion.

This GateChallenge Innovation Camp not only provided a platform for showcasing and exchanging Sino-Swiss innovation projects but also fostered the collision and integration of cross-border innovation concepts. It injected new vitality into Shanghai's development as an international talent hub and the long-term innovation collaboration between China and Switzerland. Moving forward, leveraging the resources and experience gained from this event, both sides are poised to deepen cooperation across more fields, cultivating additional innovative projects with both international vision and market potential.
